How to Calculate Percent Change
Percent change measures the relative change between an old value and a new value.
Percent Change = ((New − Old) / |Old|) × 100
Divide the difference by the absolute value of the old number, then multiply by 100.
Example: Price increased from $50 to $65. What is the percent change?
((65 − 50) ÷ 50) × 100 = 30%
